OWSLEY BROWN III,  CO-PRODUCER

Owsley Brown III was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1993 he began working in the wine business in Northern California. In 2005 he founded Magnanimus Wine Group, a boutique wine production company that produces award-winning wines made from sustainably-farmed vineyards. Owsley is also a documentary filmmaker who has focused on contemporary orchestral music. His first film, Night Waltz, a film about an American writer/composer, Paul Bowles, won the Independent Spirit Award in 2000. His critically acclaimed second film, Music Makes A City, chronicled the commissioning and recording project of the Louisville Orchestra in the 1950’s. His current project, Ke Kontan, is a heartfelt profile of the Holy Trinity Music School in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Owsley lives in San Francisco with his wife Victoire and their three children.
